Competition for the construction of the Swiss Embassy in Cameroun
Yaounde, 2012
The embassy develops vertically on a common base, beyond the perimeter wall, through three independent square-shaped bodies, rotated by 45 degrees with respect to the road. The Chancellery, the Residence and the service quarters, arranged in each of the three bodies, are connected on the ground floor by the common garden and by the representative spaces, while on the upper floors they seek an open relationship with the outside world. Its suspended bodies are turned to direct the gaze of the occupants of the living spaces towards the distant landscape, towards the horizon, beyond the heterogeneous surrounding urban fabric.
