In order to design a centre for refugees, where the life, even if provisional and temporary, of more than three hundred people from distant countries and cultures will take place, in needed an intimate and protected place – something that resembles a home.
We thought of an introverted architecture that finds reference in traditional typologies such as the convent, where the community and the individual find public and private spaces suitable for the various activities of daily life.
